Grey Pearl Bocce Blend - Supersack Per Ton Price Per Ton - Shipped in 2,000 Pound SuperEarth-bags 1 Ton Covers 100 to 150 Square Feet
The installation of an Italian Bocce Ball Court provides an excellent way to spend afternoons and evenings having backyard fun with family and friends. Our Grey Decomposed Granite 1/4" Minus is blended with premium quality marine composted crushed oyster shell flour that results in the typical traditionally Italian bocce ball court. This mixture is used at depth of 2 to 3 inches and is applied over a layer standard 3/8" minus decomposed granite. Oyster shell flour is applied over the top of the finished court surface at the rate of 1/4 pound per square foot resulting in a thin layer of finely crushed oyster shell flour for a very smooth playing surface.
The role that oyster flour plays in bocce court surface mixtures is to keep the decomposed granite from becoming extremely hard and un-workable for grooming. The oyster flour keep the decomposed granite from completely binding together. Through the normal course of play; ruts, troughs and material displacement takes place. Our decomposed granite oyster flour blend is in traditional Italian bocce ball court surface formula. When groomed out it makes a smooth solid surface to play on. When play is completed it makes for an easy surface to quickly renovate.

Silver D. G. and Oyster Shell Bocce Court Mix
Tons vs. Yards and Square Feet. In most cases we charge by the ton and we have the receipts from the scale house at the quarry to show upon request. Materials sold by the yard tend to have very in-accurate amounts in the trucks. Amounts depend the size of the loader bucket, how well the material was scooped up and who was supervising the loading of the truck. Scale House totals don't lie, so why take a chance on losing money and time with how many square feet, scoops, skips and or dumps were made in loading the truck?Architects, public agencies, contractors and owner-builders requiring a competitive bid for the materials and transport costs should E-mail us with material specifications, amount and date needed and buyers contact information. We typically employ trucks with carrying capacities ranging from 17 to 26.5 tons. Decomposed granite, crushed rock, gravel, sand and similar materials are typically hauled in; Truck n Transfers from 24 to 26.5 tons, End-dumps from 24 to 25 tons

Bocce Court Silver Surface Dry Climate Mix is made up of Sierra Silver Decomposed Granite material with apx. 25% crushed naturally marine composted oyster flour. The flour is in the form of thin 3⁄8” wide thin flakes with approximately 20% fines or “oyster shell flour.” Material is similar to texture of fish scales not shell pebbles. Bocce courts require regular grooming of the surface with a push broom or tennis court broom and large landscape rake. The role that oyster shell plays in bocce court surface mixtures is to keep the decomposed granite from becoming extremely hard and un-workable for grooming. The oyster shell flakes keep the decomposed granite from completely binding together. Through the normal course of play; ruts, troughs and material displacement takes place. Our decomposed granite oyster shell blend is in traditional Italian bocce ball court surface formula. When groomed out it makes a smooth solid surface to play on. When play is completed it makes for an easy surface to quickly renovate.
We are often asked if oyster shell or oyster flour will damage lawns or plants near the playing court. To that we answer, this material is safe for use around plants and is key ingredient in organic farming. A high quality soil conditioner which consists of 96% calcium carbonate and many micro-nutrients, Oyster Shell provides a long-lasting, steady release of nutrients to help regulate pH levels, improve fertilizer uptake, promote healthy cellular structure and enhance soil tilth.
The square foot coverage per ton of gravel will vary slightly with the surface and designs of the project, waste etc. will affect area coverage. The information is based on average ton and cubic yard amounts. This decorative building stone has naturally occurring colors and shade variations. These are what gives this stone the natural beauty and uniqueness that causes its appeal. Color tones change can sometimes occur with aging or maintenance practices of the location it is installed at therefore exact matching of existing stone may not always occur. During processing or transportation dust will adhere to the rocks and change its appearance on arrival but we guarantee all stone to be true to the specific brand name, type and size ordered or complete exchange including transportation costs will be made.
